We know that life can seem like a repetitive cycle of waking up, eating, working and sleeping. And that the daily grind can fill our minds and bodies with negative energy and stress. That’s why we created Ix Chel Wellness Resort, so our community has a place to return to self-exploration, self-discovery, and sharing a journey with other like-minded individuals.
Our Story
Back in 2019, our founders Ryan and Tiffany Lewis realized that people want (and need) the time and space to push pause on their daily routine. That is why Ix Chel was created, so our guests can escape to self-reflect and reconnect with themselves in a beautiful and serene atmosphere. Physical and mental wellbeing are of utmost importance to living a healthy life, and require practice and dedication. Our Wellness Resort provides the setting and guidance you need to strengthen your body, mind and soul.
Founders
Ryan and Tiffany grew up together on the waters of the Colorado River. We had always joked about our dreams to move to a tropical island where we would host friends and family alike. Just before COVID-19 hit we were both struggling with our health and the balance of life. We decided after Tiffany had a major surgery and Ryan had a major spiritual awakening that it was time to live out this dream. We both knew that we wanted to help others find this place of Inner Peace. But we didn't know that it would turn into Ix Chel. One day while Ryan was doing what he does best and looking for property on an island somewhere he stumbled upon Ambergris Caye. We fell in love with the Culture and the ability to create a place where any person could come and get away from the day-to-day life and reconnect with their inner self. We jumped and bought the property and began creating the Wellness Resort we now call Ix Chel. The first time we visited the Island together I called on the Goddess Ix Chel and I(Tiffany) told her if this was meant to be a place of healing that I needed a big sign. I asked to see a Double Rainbow. On our way home from a day out at Secret Beach and going into San Pedro Town I look up out of our golf-cart and sure enough to my right I see a DOUBLE RAINBOW. And from that moment on we both knew this was meant to be.
